i realised, talking to him about what the speakers were saying, about what has happened, what we expect will happen, how very cynical i am about the power of the people, about social awakening and activism. i wish i believed it made a difference, i wish i believed that the people will flood the streets this weekend in protest and that it will make a difference, but deep down inside, a part of me doesn't believe that, as much as i try.
