She's obviously lived with these circumstances for a while, and without having read what you have, I expect it has become (to a degree) normal, - breaking free of this <I>normality</I> will be just as frighting as the reality.<br /><br />What you've done by raising the facts with her is great - I'm sure you've suceeded in clearing a pass.
